I took an exposure reading on the clouds above and left of the fencing mask, this allowed the beautiful texture of the clouds and the silhouette of the fencer.

The Garden

The garden, in Burton On Trent, England, was shot with a Canon G5. F2.5 1/60 sec Using a Pattern Metering Mode and Using -0.7 Exposure Compensation.

I used several layers to put colour into this picture of a garden. The Blue, Yellow, Red and Scarlet flowers have all been cut out as a layer and placed onto the desaturated black and white picture. The sky comes from Southern Thailand.

I chose this sky because it creates a sense of disharmony in the picture. It tries to disrupt the continuity of the picture and attempts to ask the spectator to question the reality of what they are looking at.

Windsurfing at night

I shot the picture with a Canon G5; 1/1250 sec; F4.5

This shot was taken in several stages. First of all I shot the sea, during the day, in Fleetwood, Lancashire, UK. The windsurfers were taken five years earlier at a different beach.

Wat Arun

This shot was put together in two parts, I shot both parts, the temple and the sky, seperately.

The Wat itself was shot at F4; 1/125sec; -0.7 Exposure Compensation, while the sky was shot at F8; 1/160sec.

Broken Temple Collage

This photograph was shot using a flatbed scanner. The flowers were held facing downwards over the scanner and scanned at a resolution of 300dpi. Photoshop CS2 to create the picture; for example, to insert the words "I LOVE YOU" onto the flower's petals.
